I think it all started when LSU crushed Notre Dame in the 07 Sugar.

Why is a game that none of us watched the most memorable?

2006 Florida vs. OSU was probably the first in recent memory but LSU players chanting it after winning the NC the next year was the most memorable in my opinion.

I was at the '09 Cotton Bowl when we beat 11-1 Texas Tech. That was the best one that I've ever been apart of.

We rained it down on OU for the whole fourth quarter in the 13 Cotton Bowl. Too bad Bama fricked that all up

For me, Cotton bowl vs 11-1 Texas tech in 09 was a lot of fun. Graham Harrell and Crabtree didn't like it that much ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

USC chanting it after blowing out Mizzou in 2012 was pretty comical

Major jimmies rustled right there. Congrats to Mizzou fans everywhere.

If Im not mistaken and certainly anyone can correct me but the first SEC chant was back in the day when Hugh Durham was coaching basketball at Georgia and they were playing UNC and before the game some reporter interviewed a North Carolina player and he boasted something like "Georgia, who cares, I dont even know what conference they are from." Subsequently when the Dawgs took it to them the chants of SEC were very loud and clear. I dont remember the year but its when Jimmy V and the Wolfpack took down Akeem and the Houston Cougars in the Final Four and they had beaten Georgia in the semis. Anyway, that's the year that I remember the first real loud SEC chant and it was the Dawg fans letting the Tarheels know what conference we were from.

My first memory of the chant was from LSU. The chant is sort of dying out though. Auburn was doing it during the middle of the natty title game and the end result didn't go their way. Thus, the chant during the middle of the game ended up being pretty worthless.

That prolly burnt some a@@. Have a little more respect for Missouri. Before that only credit you get was basically starting Civil War.
I kid I kid.......no but seriously

This was the game where one of your players had on a SEC shirt while holding the Big 12 trophy, right?
That was awesome!

There were a few that season, winning the B12 baseball tourney, beating TX, all had an abnormally high level of jimmies rustled.
