once Slive is gone or hypothetically speaking will he make it back to the SEC or will he play another SEC team in a bowl game before he gets back?

He'll die of tertiary syphilis long before Slive retires.

When Malzahn heads to the NFL expect Petrino to land at Land of the Second Chance

What does Slive have to do with a SEC program hiring a coach?

It's not like Slive has a vote, or a voice on who gets hired.

I can see Auburn hiring him when Gus the Pius and his Mickey Mouse program is run out of town.

I'm not sure they would be a step up from Louisville but if Petrino were to be the head coach of Ole Miss, MSU, or Kentucky those teams would get a lot scarier.

I think he has a ceiling on his achievement since he's not an elite recruiter and his shenanigans limit the number of people who want to work with him - but he can turn a near the bottom program into a top 33% team in the SEC.
