This is true most likely but their called bridge schedules for a reason. With the addition of 2 teams the scheduling model got kinda messed up so they neede dto just have a makeshift one until they could adopt a more permanent one.

The 9 game schedule solves as much of the scheduling quirks as you possibly can and perserves the rivalries.

As long as you play some teams and not others, the possibility always exists you may get an easier or harder schedule, particularly with programs quality so in flux too. It's just part of the game.

The bridge schedule that gave LSU, Florida and Kentucky as their SEC East opponents and gave Bama, Tenn and UF and Auburn, Georgia and SC.
