We didn't have just our best player ever, we had THE best player ever. It just wasn't a great team. He literally won a game where the defense didn't force a punt. Tebow, Cam, Ingram, etc none of those Heisman winners ever won a game where their defense was incapable of forcing a punt.
Cam Newton took an 8-5 team and turned them into a 14-0 National/SEC Championship team. He also put up mind-boggling stats against teams when the SEC West was the strongest it has ever been. He lead us to wins over 9-4 Mississippi State that killed Michigan in the bowl game, SEC East champion South Carolina (2), #11 ranked 10-3 Alabama that killed Michigan State in the Capital One Bowl, Sugar Bowl bound Arkansas, #2 ranked Oregon, #6 ranked LSU, Clemson and Georgia. He was then drafted #1 overall and has set records in the NFL on a team that drafted him after finishing 2-14.

BTW, in 2010, Arkansas only punted twice against Auburn. Auburn won 65-43. Georgia also only punted twice against Auburn in 2010. Auburn won 49-31.
