I'm sure he would entertain any reasonable offers. It feels like a reluctant sell, so that could be the reason for the high listing (weeds out the non-serious lookers).

looks like it. And I wasnt trying to knock the truck. I love old shortbeds. but for 25-30k you can get a very well built hot rod or an original show winner. His truck looks like a 15-18k or less.
Almost bought a 46' ford last year. kick myself for not doing it now

Dang, I think JacketFan made a good point about weeding people out. Good lookin' truck. makes me wonder how much of it is original parts

Hindsight is 20/20, right? I can't imagine all the teens and 20 year olds of the 60-70s who'd KILL to have their old beasts back if not for memory's sake then for their wallets.
Kinda funny, these people all owned these old trucks or muscle cars when young and now they are shelling out a helluva lot more to get them back. And truth be told I wasn't alive back then but I don't blame them one bit. One day my dream is to get filthy rich and get a truck or car from that era. I dream high, though, like 60's Charger, '64 GTO, '72 Chevelle or one of these trucks. Ignore the, like, $50-70k disparity in those vehicles

That makes sense. I bet that'd be hard to part with cause it looks from at least those pics to be a nice truck that's been well taken care of.
