For the sake of SEC Basketball, is it time to drop the SECw?

There's a lot of talk nationally about how weak as a whole the SEC is at basketball, but until now it's been hard to accurately point the finger on who's to blame, b/c there are so many bad teams.

However, recent data from the SEC Tournament has shown that there is a distinct problem to SEC Basketball, it's the entire SECw.

Here are the Quarter Final teams

Florida vs. Mizzou

Tennessee vs. South Carolina

Kentucky vs. LSU

Georgia vs. Ole Miss

Only 2 are SECw teams out of 8. Their bad play and poor RPI are crippling the SEC as a basketball conference. Furthermore, it is most likely that we are about to have an All SECe Semi-Finals.

So the obvious solution is to keep the SECe intact and to take away the SEC membership from the former SECw teams. They can still have a conference within themselves, and name it whatever they want. Slive has a lot to think about....

Florida and Kentucky should just play a 7 game series.

And LOL @ USCe fan talking shite about basketball. You're 4-7 against the "SECw" (no such thing) this year. With 2 of the wins in the SECT against Auburn and State.

PS- You lost twice to Auburn this year before you finally beat them.

71-68, also.

Nope.

*Ole Miss won a lot of games and made it far last year and should continue to contend. Maybe NIT.
*Arkansas has a lot of bb tradition and will be back.
*Bama has the resources to improve.
*And LSU not only loses only 1 or 2 players from this year's very young and talented roster, but has one of the top recruiting classes in the country coming in next year. Watch out.....
*Aub, A&M, and MSU - don't know, not sure but each has had some past success.

That the OP of this thread is a USCe fan, makes it hysterical..and not just merely funny.
