I think Auburn improves, personally, but not sure they break the top 5. *IF* they actually speed up their play calls, they can end up giving up more yards and points anyway, but I think overall they'll still be more talented and deeper than they were this year.

I agree with this... i'd like to see the numbers get below 20 ppg and under 375 ypg. I think it's doable. The front seven should be solid... it's the secondary that's a big concern... but the league is lacking the QBs it had last season.

1. Bama - Until someone proves they can field a better defense, I'll continue to pick them first. 2010 & 2013 were some of their most inexperienced defenses under Saban, and they still topped the SEC.

2. UF - They have as much talent on defense as anyone. Plus they better field an elite defense, because I don't see their offense being of much help.

3. LSU - They have the talent and defensive coaching, so it is hard to to rank them in the top 3.

4. UGA - This ranking is based soley on my assumption that Pruit can get his schemes installed in time, and that the player buy into it.

5. AU - I think their defense will improve, if for no other reason than it is one more year of being in Johnson's scheme.
