Nick Saban has FIVE (5) TWO (2) gamnes losing streaks*...why does such a decent coach struggle to keep his team motivated game after game?

I can think of 3 coaches in the SEC West right now that don't have more than one (1) two (2) game losing streak.

Lets discuss.

Why would such a decent coach struggle to keep his team motivated for the biggest game of their lives an hour from campus? That was the excuse right? That they weren't motivated?

Nice bait. You're going to accidentally hook some Bama fans, but you'll hook even more non-Bama fans who miss the sarcasm and think this is a serious troll.

Edit: Never mind, the ratio is about 50/50

Are you changing your targets once again and now onto Bama?

Not losing two games in a row form 2010-2012 is impressive.

I hope Gus can mirror that.

Your spread sheet has dates, scores and locations but no time of kickoff...

Need more input.

This thread is about Arkansas but I am not sure how.

The SEC rant = All Bama all the time. 3 in a row will do that.

I know this is a troll but I actually found it kind of interesting as I have never thought about those loses in the context of a losing streak. Of course your phrasing is asinine in the OP when you say Saban struggles year in year out keeping his players motivated as it is nothing less than outstanding what he has been able to accomplish in the modern SEC, as the hunted, over a 6 year period. Still, these streaks are interesting to note and I don't really have an explanation. So good job at least having some substance here.

I know you are looking for bites but I'll answer anyway.

In 2007 we sucked. That accounts for 3 of them.

For the other 2, Saban teams tend to struggle when there are no championships on the line. They are unmotivted and expect to just show up and win. The lone exception was MSU in 2010 but they were just so overmatched that UA really was able to just show up and win. Honestly, I expect the trend to continue and if we are not playing to win it all (or advance in the new playoff format) we will likely sleepwalk through the game.

Luckily, there is a very small sample size of games where we are not in the mix for the championship. #goingfullgump
