So wait...14mil AND we gave up a first round pick for the guy? I'm not seeing this as some kind of blockbuster deal. I know we needed to add an arm, but Santana is a marginal talent and that's a lot to give up for such.

The first round pick was the 26th pick....we just move back to 31...so five teams jump ahead of the Braves. We still have a first round pick.

He had a very good ERA last year...especially for the AL...the Braves don't have much leverage.
