This, to me, is another red herring that makes no sense. There is no rule requiring the crew to hustle up and spot the ball for the O. They can walk at an appropriate pace. Now this wouldn't solve the D substitution problem (which is what I think is Saban's real problem with the up tempo), but it would allow a few more seconds for guys to catch their breath. This can be done with no rule change.
