Yep. He's a nice guy, but woefully, undereducated on policy and goings on with Gov't. 2 months before the ACA kicked in, I argued with him over how it was going to cost people more. He was like, no it won't more people will have insurance, so they'll pay more. Not understanding that a lot more expense would be incurred, than collected. He's seeing the light on that a little, but won't fully, until the delay kicks in.

This is the problem with the political status quo in this country today. The average voter will NOT do the bolded portion, preferring the relatively easy path of being spoonfed whatever talking points from the echo chamber of their choice.
This is the lowest common denominator of the voting public, and politicians know they'd better pander to it in order to gain office. It's a sad state of affairs overall, and is part of the reason I'm far less involved in the political debate than I used to be. Not worth it, IMO.
