What Is Your Opinion On Sarah Palin?

Looks like she's popped up in the news again today because she thinks she accurately predicted Russia would invade Ukraine back in a 2008 campaign speech. It seems to have triggered another sage of the left calling her stupid, and the right saying she's not stupid.
I think she's a nice enough lady that clearly wasn't ready for the national spotlight. I was prepared to vote for McCain in 2008 until he selected her as his VP running mate. While I don't think she's stupid, I think she says a lot of stupid stuff to rally the masses. Maybe that makes her smart and her followers stupid, I don't know. it is somewhat fascinating how polarizing she is.
And I don't think she's all that attractive.

Some of what she says is 100% correct, even though the media vilifies her for it. Some of what she says is dumb.
She's a good person and doesn't deserve the way the media treated her...it was disgusting the way the media acted.
She wasn't VP material imo. But she also isn't an idiot.

Smarter than the current Prez and VP. Unfortunately subjected to have said something she didn't, and still a thorn in the side of progs, for whatever reason, as she isn't in office or making legislation.

I think she is a major retard. I also think she is bad for the republican party image. She might have an idea worth two shits every now and then, but she is an absolute failure at conveying the idea without coming off like a retard.

Pretty much agree with your assessment. I voted for McCain/Palin as a lesser of what I knew was a great evil in Obama. Let me put it this way: If the Pub ticket had won and McCain had died (which the Dems suggested) Palin definitely could not have been any worse than Obama. In fact, because should would have likely vetoed Obamacare, there's little doubt that the nation would have been better off as a whole. And she definitely would not have been suckin' Putin's dick only to have him crap on her like he has Obama.

She read a talking point prepared by the campaign - that's it. Ironically, wikileaks has the cables from when Georgia was invaded - our diplomats were talking about Ukraine being another country Putin might invade during the campaign (when the Georgia invasion occurred). In case you don't know, candidates are given the same kind of security briefings the president gets (a few things are held back but not much) and the reason for that is in case something happens like WWIII breaking out whoever wins would need to up to speed on events. It's also because some events they're going to have to deal with while they're in office whether it's what's going on in Yemen or something like an invasion.
So now you know where the talking point came from. Sarah was then and now an idiot.
