Have to fly to the Ak. Peninsula from Anchorage. I've made it to Anchorage, but couldn't get into King Salmon.
Allow 3 weeks. It can be done in a week if you fly into the volcano, but weather will be an issue at some point. 100 mph winds are common. Usually takes 3-5 days to float out the length of the river.
