I think there are degrees of cheating that happen at every SEC school. Some do it more than others. I think it also varies depending on the status of the program. For example, I think some of the schools who are trying to build/rebuild a program probably do it more because they have a lot less to risk. The thinking behind it is "If I'm caught, what can the NCAA do to me that my program hasn't already done to itself?"
That being said, I don't think it is near as blatant as some have said. I don't think every recruit who goes to ____ gets a new car. They might get some hundred dollar handshakes. The coaches might also stretch the contact rules for recruiting in a "better to ask forgiveness than permission" way.

I heard from someone in our AD who has colleagues at Bama that a huge part of Saban's job is keeping his star players away from situations like TTowns Menswear.

Point essentially was that what kid is going to turn down money/car whatever it is and these boosters will do it just to get access. Completely independent of the AD and nothing Saban or Malzahn or anyone can do
