They all want them. They don't want all of them at the same time or to build a program around them. Cal is the only coach in America who builds his program around freshmen.

Kansas has more one and done guys than Kentucky
Duke has 3 of them next year

You guys are underestimating the nanunces of playing basketball.
UK fans like to look at the Davis/Kidd Gilcrest team as an example of what they should be but that team was lead by a sophmore point guard and 2 of the best all around freshmans to play in college in the last 10 years. that will not happen every year
this is more along the lines of what you are going to get with the way cal recruits.
First and more importantly, CAl has no point guard. Harrison is not ready yet. He's doesn't see the floor particularly well and more importantly, he's pretty fricking stupid. Arkansas does not beat UK if Harrison does not make 2 stupid arse plays at the end of regulation Thursday night. He's not BAD, he's just not all that good. yet. he can be. He's the type of player that seriously needs to stay in college for 3-4 years but if he did and listened to coaching he could be a 10-12 year NBA player. But he needs a lot of work.
You can have 7 5 stars in your rotation but if you don't have a legit point guard in your system that doesn't turn the ball over it doesn't matter.
2. they don't undrestand how to play basketball yet. The Qualls dunk against UK doesn't happen if Young boxes his man out. They don't hit freethrows. They don't space the floor well whatsoever. They don't comprehend pick and roll game. As beastly as randle is, he doesn't fight for position like for instance, Jhonny O'Bryant does for LSU on the block, and JOB didn't do it last year like he does this year.
this is all freshman type shite. this is the stuff freshman do. they are going to do this, 5 star, 2 star, 3 star, because there is transition from HS to college.
if everyone on that team outside Randle and WCS stayed, they'd have a legit shot at the Natty next year. but they won't.
i'M VERY happy we have Kinglsey and Portis.. both are legit top 50 type players.. good enough to make an imnpact, but not good enough to think they are good enough to be one and done.
with all that said i pray to god we get Malik Monk in 2016 lol. But I don't want a team full of them lol, I just want him to plug in with what we have.
