I think it should go back to like it was in the early seventies when both teams could only substitute 2 players on any given play, unless there had been change of possession. Watching the kick six was like deja vu all over again if you can remember watching John Hannah, Jim Krapf, and Buddy Brown trying to chase down Johnny Rodgers.

Or, maybe even better, we should make basketball like football. Just run subs out on the floor without making them check in at the scorers table or wait to be beckoned in by the officials. Try and get a sub in before the offense throws the ball in.

Helluva idea! Seriously, I like your idea about going back to the 2 players per play substitution rule. That would end the debate.
