By signing up for football, you assume risks. If you have a trait that increases your risk, then either don't play, or be prepared to accept the consequences. It's horrible that in a tiny percentage of times, that can include death, but it is what it is.

If you shouldn't play, don't play.

As callous as that sounds I agree with you. Like I said the player BB mentioned died during conditioning and had no restraints of game rules to stop. How is a 10 second rule going to help a player?

Every time you drive a car, you take on the risk of being involved in an auto accident that could lead to death, so are you going to start walking every where?

When walking on a sidewalk next to a road, you have the risk of a driver losing control and running over you leading to death, so are you then going to quit walking?

Are you going to stay locked inside your home and hope a fire does not occur, or carbon monoxide poisoning leading to your death?
