Its a brand new staff and no doubt Strong is having to make up some ground on A&M. A&M is clearly the more popular choice at the present. But Strong is making a lot of changes internally and I expect a better team in 2014 than 2013. Ash is still a question mark, but he's been cleared for full practice. No doubt, that if he plays the season, UT will be better sides of the ball.

Regardless, Strong will go where he has to find his players. His classes most likely won't be rated as highly as Mack's were, but he'll get a lot more out of them. The culture change is the biggest adjustment going on right now. Some will cut it and others won't. Those who do will be ready to play. There won't be anybody repeating the same mistake as Claiborne did, simply because they will be afraid to pay the price. Of course, there are always addicts who will take any risk, but they can't stay if that's the case.

If that scares off some recruits, so be it. I bet it won't scare their parents.
