That's a masterpiece.

I have a Longhorn friend and former roomate who had season tickets before the current downturn and during years that were NATTY RUNS for them, he'd still leave at half and go watch the rest of the game from the student union so he could drink in the A/C. One time a neutral party was ripping UT saying that despite the success they were really lackluster fans and this guy, the UT fan, was genuinely astonished to hear that alumni of other teams DON'T leave at half or halfway through the third and consider it a duty to stay the whole game.

See, I just have never been able to understand that attitude.

Hell, I was a student during the Fran years and never once thought to leave early or at all. I'm there to support the team. Even in other sports I'm the same way, but especially for my alma damned mater.

See this is why their "just win and the fans will support the team" attitude is BS. All my UT friends were in school during their golden years and every last one of them did the exact same thing on game day. Show up to the game shite-faced mid first quarter or beginning of the second, high five each other for being up 20+, leave at half time and never return.

They're just shitty, entitled fans. Any "solution" that doesn't address that isn't a real solution. The funny part is they think acting more entitled is the solution i.e. "just win" or "Mack Brown isn't my standard."
