I really want the honest opinions of posters here on this situation. If Trayvon Martin and the kid Dunn killed were both 5* football players, would Zimmerman had been convicted and would Dunn have been found guilty of 1st degree murder? Would they have been guilty in the court of public opinion? Not trying to race bait, just want to know what others think on this

If he would have, he shouldn't have been. I watched the case nearly in its entirety and they made the right call

Based on the evidence I believe people would have still sided with Zimmerman unless the player was committed to their school. Then that fan base would probably disagree.

The real problem in the Dunn case is that jurors were allowed to consider lesser charges like 2nd degree murder and manslaughter with much lower thresholds of proof and still couldn't agree. Even if it wasn't 1st degree murder, it sure seems like manslaughter.

Don't know but I know Daylon Mack's mother said she wouldn't let him visit Florida because of Trayvon. So I'll let all you backwoods fricks in Dixie commit all the self-inflicted damage you want.

Football is modern day slavery. Give a talented black athlete some free food and a dorm, and he busts his arse everyday for the rich white man's entertainment without ever seeing a dime in return.

Zimmerman should never have been tried for murder. There just wasn't enough evidence. Now personally I think he's a scumbag and definitely murdered the kid, but unfortunately his side of the story is the only that was told.
I don't know a whole lot about the Dunn trial, but the verdict just looks weird to me. A hung jury on the murder of the one kid, but he is guilty of attempting to murder the other 4? What if he had killed those 4, would the jury been hung as well? That tells me the law is poorly written and should be done away with. But again, that's just looking at the verdict and not knowing much about the trial.

Trayvon assaulted an armed man and deserved to die. The system worked almost flawlessly.
