Hearing Sumlin say Malzahn was the first coach he heard from once the rule propaganda crap came out gave me even more respect for Sumlin and it tells me you guys run your program the right way. Between Freeze at OM, Gus at Auburn, and Sumlin at aTm I firmly believe 3 of the brightest minds in football play in our division.

Malzahn has stated he likes to keep a close circle of coaches he contacts with.. Freeze is one, Morris at Clemson, and now Sumlin is in there too. Some of the best in the business and classiest guys in the profession.

I'm glad Sumlin and Malzahn are getting together on this. Obviously Saban and his pool boy, Bert, are.

I know there is a tight knit group of coaches called the 'one back clinic' that all do a yearly meeting and compare notes on running the HUNH spread. Not sure if Malzahn is part of it but I know Sumlin is and has been for a while. I think Holgersen and Chip Kelly are/were members as well. They stuck to 1 coach a conference, but there have been some coaching moves int he past few years so that might not be true anymore.

I am glad he is pushing back against this. If the rule fails this is great recruiting brownie points ("They can't stop us, so they tried to change the rules. But we wouldn't let them!")
