Williamson County is more expensive, but you get what you pay for. The cost of living here is more expensive than the DFW area. That was a little bit of a surprise to me. You have no state income tax and relatively low property trax, so that is a major plus.

If you want country living, then look in Thompsons Station. It is just south of Franklin in Wlliamson County.

Thanks for the info I'll check it out. I'm still wrestling with the idea of moving north. I like living in the country where I have privacy, and peace and quiet. Also I have land here in Georgia that makes it hard to leave. Great hunting, fishing, etc.

What does land go for per acre up there?
