Where in that article does it say he will be released from his scholarship?

I hope it was a wrong place at the wrong time situation, but I can only assume our coaching staff will wait until they have enough facts to make a decision on whether to honor his scholarship or drop him.

The article never says he's been released. So everything in it is Germans.

Honestly, I think we should release him. Sucks since I thought he was going to be a good one.

Gus will gather all the info he needs. If he takes away his scholly, I'm all for it.

Thoughts
I'm OK with whatever happens to him. Sure, I would love to see him be at Auburn if the situation presents himself (if we find out he didn't do anything too bad). He's an adult and should be smarter than to put himself in a situation like that. Not only is it bad that he will possibly never play at Auburn, but he also has 2 children that he will have to support.

where did you get that he was released?

i certainly doesn't look good... the gun was under his seat (front passenger). If his prints are on it, he could be facing felony gun charges to go along with the drug charges.

Auburn must first do this to make him eligible to be their next QB.

God may know the truth, but the article said over 200 grams, so unless he flips on someone so mankind knows the truth as well, he's fricked. That's closing in on a half a pound. There's not going to be any dispute over intent to distribute with that much, at least legally-speaking. And he better get a good lawyer to give him advice if he thinks keeping his mouth shut means they won't know who to convict...because they'll happily send all four of them up the river if none of them talk.

All this assumes, of course, that it isn't his pot to begin with. If it is, well....

(It sucks, imho, that this even has to happen. Jailing people for owning or selling a naturally-occurring plant that poses a lot less danger than alcohol is silly)

He'll end up as UGA's QB in two years and laughs will be had by all.

Seriously, I hope the dude is innocent and makes better decisions about who he hangs around with in the future. Hope to see him succeed whether that's at AU or not.

I'm sure Gus is praying for him as we post. I don't believe Gus will drop him. He welcomed Dyer to ASU and he lent his gun to friends so they could rob his drug dealer. This is nothing.
