What does that even mean?

The subject matter has not changed. We are talking about accidents like Homosexuality and pedophilia. There are more.

Um...yes. This isn't a debate,

Yes, evidently it is. Again, first thing tomorrow, though the person does not care for football, I will invite them here for this topic alone. No need in me even addressing it.

How are you this ignorant of history?

Mary was a young girl, probably only about 12 or 13 years old when the angel Gabriel came to her.

quote:

Christian and Hebrew scholars agree that Mary was likely 12 or 13 at the time, a fairly standard age of matrimony in her culture.

quote:

It is unlikely that Mary was older than what we would call a middle school student today.

This quote is from Bart Erhman, probably the leading New Testement scholar in this hemisphere:

quote:

"It is agreed upon by every scholar I'm aware of that Mary was around 12 years old at the time of her betrothal to Joseph, who himself was at least in his late-twenties and likely thirties. This is based both on biblical text and the culture of the period.

Even the early church fathers said Mary was very young and Joseph much older. If your friend believes differently he is just simply wrong and I don't care what degree he has.

I can't believe I'm having to walk you through this like a child.
