@ the notion that a 18' long jump is competitive enough for a spot on the Olympic team, which is 2 years away fwiw.
An 18' long jump would have been good enough to finish 35th in this weekend's Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville. That's just one track meet, and not a U.S. Nationals meet. The jump that won the Tyson meet was 24'5". At the World Championships last year a jump of just over 27' won it, which usually is a middle of the pack jump.
Adoree Jackson will not be jumping in the Olympics.
