Because it's a school in middle of nowhere indiana. Texas/California both went with them.

I understand that it's becuase of nbc, leather helments, and a wide alumni base but it's still surprising enough to me to make a passing comment about it when all the other seem pretty regional.

But if you want to continue to break it down, knock yourself out.

its not that, its the inherent nature of Catholics from the northeast in past to root for ND. And that base has migrated across the country
