yeah, the guy looks like a monster, but just cant seem to break through-yet.

As for the aforementioned Nick Perry, I dont expect he will start. But I have a feeling he will be a contributor in a few games and will make at least one big play in this his final year, ala his fellow Prattville Lion, Nick Gentry. Really not sure why some posters have such disdain for this guy.

I dont either. He was a solid contributor in 2012, and people talk about him like he's a scrub. Ridiculous.

I'm hoping to see Jarrick Williams have a big year. He made some incredible plays last year, and he's very physical. I like watching him play.

He was hardly solid.

My best example of Nick Perry came last year. I don't remember the game anymore. I wanna say LSU. But Landon Collins had to go out for a play. I don't recall why. Lost his helmet, got hurt, either way Perry came on for him. LC did a great job the whole game. Suddenly Perry's man makes him look silly and scores.

He's just not a Bama quality DB. I like him. I like the work he's put in for Bama. But we're a worse team with him on the field.

Was it the UGA game that Perry had a "bad play"? It was one of those latter games in which he started or saw tons of playing time.

It's essentially what drove a lot of Sunseri hate, there'd be 2 bad plays that stood out and the book was written on him. He's isolated as the lone cover guy on an all out blitz, and when the blitz doesn't deliver, he's stuck on an island with a WR. There's not 10 SS that could cover a WR 1-on-1.

As much as Bama likes to deploy 3 safeties or more, I'd expect to see him a bit this year. He's a reserve for a reason, but he's very knowledgeable of the defense, and that can get you on the field.
