Ivory and Lake were both "diamond in the rough" guys.

definitely. Ivory was a very late addition to his class and he was a project all the way. Lake came from a very small school. There is still plenty of time for Lake to develop into a solid contributor but right now he's in the "looks like tarzan, plays like jane" category, but presumably our new DL coach can get him to where we want him to be.

Frazier would not fall into that category. Highly rated and recruited by all the big boys. He also tore it up at Army AA practices. He just hasn't gotten the love from Bama fans because we had been so fixated on Elam for so long.

IMO, Frazier was a better prospect than Elam. Elam just seems like a fatass, essentially Billy Bob from Varsity Blues. But I dont expect a whole lot out of Frazier this year. He will need to develop his body a bit more and improve his footwork and balance. Redshirt year is likely, unless we are short at depth. I think Robinson and Reed could get worked at NT some, and there is also the possibility of using more 4 man lines.

As for the aforementioned Nick Perry, I dont expect he will start. But I have a feeling he will be a contributor in a few games and will make at least one big play in this his final year, ala his fellow Prattville Lion, Nick Gentry. Really not sure why some posters have such disdain for this guy.

I dont either. He was a solid contributor in 2012, and people talk about him like he's a scrub. Ridiculous.

I'm hoping to see Jarrick Williams have a big year. He made some incredible plays last year, and he's very physical. I like watching him play.
