SMH, Chatta I am diappoint. I'm actually discussing in this thread. That dude is doing what he usually does; beg or us to give him information we pay for or whine/bitch at another poster.

Would switch him for Charlot in a heartbeat.

Can't shake the feeling that Harrison is using us to get an FSU offer.

Hopefully not, I think they already have multiple safeties committed, so I think that's why they may not offer.

Can you guys give me any details on OT Brandon Hill? I know he commited to us then flipped to yall in the 2013 class but idk what happened to him after that.

Apparently us and UT are after him now and he's coming to the game on oct4.

He's a good kid and left in a respectable manner with no ill will towards the team. I believe the issue was playing time and he lost out to CamRob for the LT spot.

It is. It's one of those "university" high schools. I think they're called the Noles and everything too.

The issue was his weight

Actually he signed with us out of high school, went to prep school, committed to you guys, flipped to us, redshirted last year, then transferred.

He was well over 400 lbs when he reported. Spent his redshirt year getting into playing shape. Made a little noise in the spring as someone who could be a factor if he continued to slim down. Then I think he gained a little back and then announced he was transferring. I was a big fan of his as a high school prospect and think he's an SEC caliber G or possible RT if he can get down to around 350 though he moved well in HS at 370

Yeah this is what I heard as well, just that he didn't gain a little weight, he gained a lot. The rumors are he is significant issues controlling his weight.

Florida at Alabama

When: Saturday, Sept. 20; 3:30 p.m. ET

Last meeting: Trent Richardson ran for 181 yards and two touchdowns, his fourth straight 100-yard game, to pace Alabama to a 38-10 win at Florida in October 2011.

What to watch for

Florida (2-0) has had one of the biggest spotlights ever pointed on a team coming off a 4-8 season, since last year's bottomed-out record represented the program's worst since 1979. With Will Muschamp on the hot seat and a retooled offense under new coordinator Kurt Roper, all eyes have been on the Gators' every offensive move so far.

The early returns have been mixed, as the big numbers from a 65-0 win over Eastern Michigan were quickly forgotten after Florida needed three overtimes to get to 36 points and down Kentucky at home last week. There were mistakes but also great signs, like the running of Matt Jones (156 yards, one touchdown) and the big-play ability of receiver Demarcus Robinson (15 catches, 216 yards and two TDs).

Whether Florida has turned the corner yet will get a major litmus test against Alabama, but Matt Brown of Sports on Earth writes this game could be the perfect opportunity to take some risks to prove that progress has been made. "If Florida truly wants to expand the offense and be aggressive, then this is actually the time to try to do it and throw the kitchen sink at a game," Brown wrote.

Alabama (3-0) also gets to show whether its quarterback situation and cornerback play have been figured out with tough challenges in its SEC opener. Blake Sims has asserted himself as the Crimson Tide's starter, getting the bulk of the snaps and throwing for 646 yards and four TDs on 75 percent passing, but he's had the benefit of a run game averaging 270 yards per contest and receiver Amari Cooper putting up career numbers (33 receptions, 454 yards, two TDs).

The secondary, though, remains a work in progress. That unit surrendered a ton of yards in the opener against West Virginia, but recent foes Florida Atlantic and Southern Mississippi haven't had nearly as strong a passing game.

"Hopefully, we've gained some confidence and understanding of what it takes to play and be successful," Alabama coach Nick Saban told reporters.

Florida will show some signs of improvement, but not enough to beat Alabama for the first time since the 2008 SEC Championship or the first time in Tuscaloosa since 1998.

Prediction: Alabama 31, Florida 17

We have made some adjustments to the Alabama state rankings on 247Sports.

Some of the notable changes:

- Alabama running back commit Desherrius Flowers remains the No. 4 player in the state but he has descended some within the national Top247 as we've been able to see more backs and compare body of work.

- Auburn commit Richard McBryde has been bumped up into the Top247. He is now the No. 5 player in Alabama and the No. 182 player in the country.

- Alabama commit Anfernee Jennings has moved into the Top 10 in the state and has been given a 90 grade.

- Bessemer City offensive lineman Darryl Williams has descended slightly from a four-star to a three-star with an 88 grade. He is now No. 18 in the state.

- Auburn tight end commit Jalen Harris continues to move in a positive direction and is now ranked as the No. 17 player in the state.

- Murphy High School Duke commit Depriest Turner made a big jump up to within the state's Top 20, checking in at No. 19.

- Hoover High School running back Bradrick Shaw has descended to the middle of the pack in state to No. 34.

- Jumping Shaw at No. 33 and 32 respectively are South Carolina commit Jalen Henry and Louisville commit Tim Bonner.

A huge group of the top in-state talent is expected to be in Tuscaloosa this weekend when Alabama faces SEC foe Florida.

Shades Valley defensive tackle Daron Payne, No. 3 on AL.com's A-List, is the big class of 2015 prospect expected to make the trip. Payne is the state's top uncommitted prospect and is primarily considering Alabama, Auburn and Mississippi State. He'll be joined by high school teammate and Mississippi State commit Keith Mixon. The A-Lister thinks an Alabama offer could be coming at some point.

Auburn commit Jalen Harris, who visited last week, is expected to make a return trip.

The majority of Alabama's in-state commits are expected back in Tuscaloosa this weekend. Central-Tuscaloosa offensive lineman Lester Cotton (No.1 on A-List), Hoover linebacker Christian Bell (No. 9 on A-List), Wetumpka offensive lineman Brandon Kennedy (No. 6 on A-List), Florence linebacker Keaton Anderson (No. 14 on A-List) and Dadeville defensive end Anfernee Jennings.

Hoover running back Bradrick Shaw (No. 15 on A-List) could also make the trip with his teammates.

It's not just seniors expected at Alabama, though. In fact, the most in-state star power comes from the underclassmen ranks. Carver-Montgomery linebacker Lyndell Wilson and Gordo linebacker Ben Davis are both ranked five-star prospects in the class of 2016, according to 247Composite, and will be at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday. Other big name junior prospects include: Central-Phenix City defensive back John Broussard, Madison Academy running back Malik Miller, Jemison linebacker P.J. Blue, Carver-Montgomery defensive lineman Marlon Davidson, Hamilton running back Denzel Mitchell, Theodore running back Lamical Perine and Auburn athlete Spencer Perry.

Josh Newberg put Ronnie Harrison on his "worth keeping an eye on" list dedicated to FSU visitors this weekend who may commit. The top level for Newberg's classification is "Commitment Watch" so the level Ronnie was put on is the one under that.

He said that Ronnie's been on campus at FSU six times, and seems to go there whenever. They are at a standoff. FSU wouldn't offer unless he came to camp. He didn't come to camp, but still seems to want an offer on his terms.

When I asked John Garcia Jr on his Crimson and Blue Chips podcast he said he thinks he is going just for the game, but made it sound like Ronnie won't flip because FSU probably won't offer, not because he loves Bama. There is also some sentiment that he would like to stay closer to home if given the option. (Chatt's note: if he wants to stay closer to home, why not try to get an auburn or UF offer?)

I equate Ronnie Harrison's situation to be like Mixon's. Both will go to the school they are committed to unless the home school offers. Jmo.
