Im fricking happy about this. You guys need to get over Leo. We all know most Miss prospects have trouble with the playbook anyway.

Is playbook code for selling cocaine?

Slow down with bashing the Mississippi guys. I agree Lewis Conner Hampton and a couple DL from there have been some real douche bags that will underwhelm but all I have to say is KEVIN CLUTCH NORWOOD

so, does mcmillon stay at olb where he is listed by recruiting sites, or are we thinking of moving him inside? seems we are full up with OLBs at the moment

He seems very comparable to Hightower as a recruit (similar size, same state, high football iq,ect..)

I say probably ILB in run support like Hightower and then let a space LB play Mack on 3rd down and be on the line like Hightower.

I honestly think Hightower could have played all 4 LB spots, Mack LB in dime, and both DE spots. Specimen

Rod Woodson? Alonzo Lawernce? I was honestly talking about defensive prospects. For some reason they have a problem picking up the scheme.

It's easy to say we shouldn't fret over our misses in Mississippi, but abandoning a traditional recruiting ground is not the answer. We don't identify more than a handful of Mississippi kids each cycle to begin with, but some of our finds have been key contributors on championship teams.

Im not saying abandon anything but the whole crying over leo lewis shite is old now. Kid might not even qualify and if he having grade issues in Mississippi im thinking he would have trouble learning the defense. We got a super athletic kid with a 4.3 gpa and people still talking about Leo lol let it go.

im excited about the serious brains in the middle of our defense for the future. first SDH, valedictorian of his school, and now mcmillon with a 4.3 gpa. makes the transition to college ball smoother

Exactly. How many guys have we had that are great athletes but got passed up by other guys because they understood the defense quicker.

College Football Recruiting Rankings 2015: Top 200 After The Opening

What to Watch for This Fall
Deionte Thompson returns to the defending district champions looking to add to his vast collection of interceptions. The ball hawk has picked off 11 passes since 2012 and returned two for touchdowns last season.
His hands were on display at The Opening, and quarterbacks should be cautious about testing him with frequency this fall.
Scouting Report
Despite being a key member of the country's top-ranked recruiting class, Thompson arguably exceeded expectations at The Opening. He was a roving safety in seven-on-seven competition, dominating in the flat against elite tight ends and running backs.
Though there was no tackling in Beaverton, it's clear why Thompson has earned his reputation as an enforcer in the middle of a defense. His closing speed is terrific and builds momentum for disruptive collisions with the ball-carrier.
His presence alone causes opponents to consider the risks before extending to haul in a pass.
"If receivers are uncomfortable, then that's a good thing," Thompson said at The Opening.
He plays receiver himself at the high school level and surely received interest from colleges about staying at the position. Though he's likely to line up at free safety in Tuscaloosa, don't be surprised if Thompson continues to come up big with catches considering his ball-hawking skills.
Look for Nick Saban to develop Thompson as a defender who can eliminate the opposition's intermediate passing efforts first and foremost.

This doesn't help the perception that we have fat, slow LBers:
