My original point, that you are arguing against, has been the quality of Eli's receivers throughout his career. And you choose David tyree( terrible example) and Mario manningham ( hasn't done shite since leaving the gmen) as your examples for great receivers because they happen to be involved in one of Eli's historically clutch superbowl moments, I'm sorry Eli can't complete clutch passes to himself, I have the feeling even then you Peyton apologists would find a way to give credit to someone else. No one is saying Eli is a better qb than Peyton, settle down. But acting like Peyton doesn't have weak points is laughable.

I used Tyree to point out that it took a big play on both sides...it wasn't like the biggest play on the drive that won the game hit a receiver in stride. The whole point was that it might be that Eli is surrounded by players who come up big in the Super Bowl as much as he does.

As for Manningham...in the last two possessions in the Super Bowl, Manning went to Manningham 7 times (completing 4). He only caught 1 more pass the entire game. Again...Manningham stepped up as much as Eli.

On the other side...Peyton certainly has weaknesses, but he has been surrounded by other players who have choked in the big game as much (or more than) him. Is that partially because they were relying so much on him during the regular season that they were waiting on him to make the big plays instead of doing it themselves?

I'm not saying that Peyton plays great in Super Bowls...but I've been watching football for a long time. I haven't seen an individual win or lose a game, yet.

BTW...Your earlier posts said I was "Stupid as Frik", which I am not. Had you said that I was "Ignorant as Frik"...you might have been better served.

You're also the genius that said he couldn't win a SB without Tyree - who wasn't on the team in 2011.

An argument can be made that Peyton has never "come up big" in any superbowl, even the one that he won.

And as far as ignorant vs stupidity goes, choosing to be ignorant is an exact definition of stupidity.

You choose to believe that Eli has been bailed out in both his superbowls when he played phenomenal, especially on the final drive of both games against the patriots. There is nothing more clutch than beating an undefeated 18-0 team with a come from behind drive and td pass for the win.

Without Eli, they lose and yes without other parts of the team they lose also. You are choosing to be ignorant because Peyton more times than not ends his season with a pick or bad performance vs the patriots. You are overcompensating for peytons failures by discrediting Eli for something Eli does very well.

Willful ignorance = stupidity.

I don't think you are stupid btw, I think you are taking up for Peyton which is fine, I like the mannings even Peyton.
