I legitly don't understand those defending CMA. Now I love the hogs. Hell I post on here. All of us are supreme hog fans. I want to see us succeed. But I do not understand the bright spots y'all are seeing or I do not understand the optimism going forward.

I cocked off like a mofo on all my accounts about the CMA hire. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy. I'd love to have a beer with him, he seems like a real badass. But this is business

I live in NWA but I love the delta. I listen to my friends that say Adele is an amazing artist yet I have Johnny Cash CDs in my car. I voted for Obama but I listen to my gun toting, pro life, birth certificate crazed coworkers. I want to hear the opposition's best defense of CMA. Please, someone, help a fellow Arkansan out and explain the positives y'all see. Because no matter how hard I try, I just see more of the same ahead.

I believe that MA has been handcuffed on some scholarship management things that have slowed down our rebuild due to pelfrey. Minimum 1 more year but will probably get 2 unless he turns it around then he could be coach until such time as he starts losing consistently again, goes batshit insane, or our fanbase meltsdown for some other reason unpredictable due to the nature of razorback offseasons.

Does anyone see Mike winning on the road this year?

Next year?

Eta: pretty sure we have won 4 road games in my 4 years at UA. If there was a primary requirement to this job, road wins would be it

Mikes on pace to have a better first 4 years than Obama, yet you voted for O and are melting down about Mike

Meh, I voted for Obama, am in the military, and I support Mike Anderson.

I'll say this...there is a lot of sentimentality in that support. I was one of the people who felt that Mike should have gotten the job after Nolan left (or was forced out I should say). That also being said, here is the way I look at it, mostly just talking points:

-Mike took over a dumpster fire at UAB, and turned them into a damn solid program. I mean, UAB was a better program than we were for those years he was there than we were for the five years before.

-He inherited an absolute shite-show at Missouri after Quin Snyder was forced out. There was a lot of clamoring in Columbia to fire Anderson after he went 16-16 and dismissed some of the best players on the team for conduct detrimental to the team. However, the next year he took them to the Elite 8. The team was rebuilt slowly before they were pretty stacked.

-We are dealing with APR issues and tons of other shite. As much as people want to say they don't care, that does buy a coach some time.

-Most of our problems (esp. on the road) seem like we run out of gas offensively. Depth will change that and allow us to play more effectively on defense and offense.

-Heath couldn't do it in 3 years. Pelphrey couldn't do it in 3 years. Given the state of our program now, what makes you think getting into this hire and fire cycle every 3 years is going to help? Best thing to do is ride this thing out, and see where it goes before jumping off the wagon.
