I can buy that Pease sucked. He isn't a QB coach, and his O's have been suspect at his other stops, besides Boise. Weis would have been pretty good with more time IMO. He was getting ready to land a legendary WR class for UF, before his exit.

If Florida had not had as many injuries, they could have done much better

Driskel would have been really good under Meyer's offense

Y'all need a legendary RB class. I have a hard time remembering the last season UF had a running game that could put the fear of god into an opponent. Even when you had those killer passing attacks under Spurrier you had a beast RB to balance it out.

Now?

Florida should start 3-0 easily (a GA Southern type repeat notwithstanding), but then they run the gauntlet:

at Bama
at UT (who should by all accounts be improved)
vs LSU
vs Mizzou
vs UGA in Jacksonville
at Vandy (who I assume will be down somewhat)
vs SCe
vs EKU (the only other "sure" win on the schedule after the first 3)
at FSU

I think they could return to 2011 and win a lot of games with defense, but I can also see them finishing 6-6 with reality probably being something like 8-4. My best guess is they lose to Bama, LSU, FSU, and one of SCe and UGA. But I wouldn't count out UT, Vandy, or Mizzou in any of the 3 games.
