I have a 9 month old, and if it hadn't been for the fellow that helped us, I don't know what we would have done. The state troopers are seen almost daily on 20/59 writing tickets, but funny thing, I didn't see a god damn one on the way home this day. The good citizens like your uncle are the only ones who were there to help, and by god it meant a lot to me and my wife.
Yep, we have a 5 month old and if it weren't for an awesome stranger with a 4wd truck we would have had to walk 3 miles from my truck to our house.
My next truck/SUV will have 4wd.

I'm right there with you.
A total clusterfrick of ineptitude was shown across this state today. Ever since we got burned a couple of years ago with the snow scares which never came to fruition the educational adminstrators have been afraid to cancel classes. Well, wake up assholes, this is why it's better to err on the side of caution. And to anyone who says this is an overreaction - thousands of people risked their lives on the roads today because the decision makers didn't want to look stupid. Well, now you look really fricking stupid. Oh yeah, I mad.

FWD is just as effective is the snow. It's about knowing how to drive and the tires. You need tires with wide siping. They make all around tires for cars that are excellent in the snow, just check the siping. The best snow driving car I have owned was a 2006 Honda Accord. I had to work to get that thing loose in the snow. Fantastic car but the tires made a huge difference.
