Going on a business trip this week recommendations for restaurants in Huntsville and atlanta that would be good to take a client out to dinner at would be helpful. Also just good recommendations of places to eat along the way would be appreciated. Also things to do while I'm at these places would be awesome

The Lobby bar is a good happy hour and a good place to show off clients.

Take them to a Huntsville Stars hockey game if they have a game that night.

Awesome that's great to here. Glad she booked that place, was pricey but will probably be worth it with the cluster frick that expo will create.

I think they're called the Havoc. The Stars is the minor league baseball team that is moving to Mississippi.
And to the OP, are you staying in downtown H'ville?

That's right. I actually pulled the Stars from Dallas. Got a friend in Huntsville that is a Dallas Stars fan and also goes to the Havoc games.
I actually had no idea Huntsville had a baseball team.

What area of Huntsville will you be in and what type of restaurant and budget?
I'm a Huntsville restaurant aficionado.

They've had one for years. Used to be an Oakland A's affiliate, and Jose Canseco, Mark McGuire, and Terry Steinback all spent at least two seasons in Huntsville back in the day.
To the OP, if you're downtown there is a Ruth's Chris, Cotton Row Restaurant is good but pricey, and Humphrey's Bar & Grill is an option. Pane E Vino is close, too.

Budget isn't a major concern. anywhere from fast food to something pricey for the clients I figure top end would be like 40-50 a plate if it's a good potential client but I figure we will be grabbing some little dinner quality meals at some point as well. Staying at the residence Inn I'm not real sure where that is

Then you're on the west side of town. There's a 5 Guys just down the road and you're close to Providence which has a very good Italian restaurant (name escapes me at the moment). There's a Mellow Mushroom at Providence, also. You're also close to Rosie's Cantina, which is a good Mexican eatery.
ETA: Shaggy's is also a good place for an inexpensive meal with good food.

Huntsville- Commerce Kitchen (Get the Fried Chicken). Thank me later.
It's in the downtown area. Shrimp and grits is also pretty good if you don't want the chicken (you want the chicken). I haven't heard a bad review of that place yet and I've been 4-5 times myself. It's on the nicer end of restaurants.

Tim's Cajun Kitchen, the Poboy Factory, and the Taco Bus on Governer's are all good hole in the wall joints. Not sure how formal the kinda of dinner you're having is.

In Huntsville, for Mexican I recommend rosie's. For barbecue, I recommend Granville's barbecue
