Crazy thing is, no one would be shocked.

I mean, eyebrows would be raised, but no one would be falling out of their chair

3rd best record? Probably no falling out of chairs. If we are actually the 3rd best team (and the SEC isn't a shitstorm), chairs all over the Southeast and country at large would suddenly be empty.

I'm not being negative, just think we're still building. We do have some nice pieces, but there are some holes to fill. 3 of them are likely to be draft-sized holes. The receiving corps could be really good though. We will likely (unless someone just jumps out) lack a true #1 target, but we might just overwhelm with number of different targets. Our lines look stout, even if they're not jam-packed with All-SEC talent. QB is a question, but not one anyone expects to end with a bad answer. We'll be breaking in an a secondary of first-time starters, but they all played significant and positive minutes in big games last year. HB will be a strength with 2 JRs of different strengths.

Sadly they lose too much on defense to be a top team. They're replacing 8 starters I believe

speak for yourself

I could see third in the east if things broke right but even that would be something of an accomplishment given UGA, USC, and MU have pretty fair expectations and Florida views last year as an aberration
