earliest memories of it being on the radio. a little later, listening to keith jackson call games (and my wonderful dad taking time out from yelling at the t.v. to explain to me exactly what was going on..:)).

my dad didn't start taking us to games until "we were old enough to behave ourselves and to understand and enjoy the game.." we went to a lot of tuscaloosa games, but the most vivid memory i have is when alabama was playing, i think, tcu. one of their players suffered a nasty hit. did not get up and was carried off the field. sadly, i think that player ended up being paralized. in all of the many games i have been to, i cannot remember a more quiet, somber moment.
