Hopefully nothing happens, but if anything does I'd think it would be more in the vein of an Atlanta or Boston type bombing where it's a "minor" type of incident that mostly hurts or injures spectators. It will be there to make an impact and to bring attention to the issues that they desire to bring to to forefront, but I can't see anything happening that would make me think that any country should pull out of the Olympics altogether. Warnings to people travelling to the Olympics? For sure, but not a complete withdrawal.

Not taking anything away from Boston, that was a horrible incident, but I'd bet 80% of the people that followed the fallout from that could even point out Chechnya on a map, I'd bet the number is similar even now less than a year removed from the incident. The media shitstorm is fleeting, but it's what they want and the mere threat of a terrorist incident in Sochi has gotten most of that before the Olympics have even started.
