I think this is a good question.

Good football and good basketball shouldn't be mutually exclusive.

Ill put the blame on Bama.

Seriously.

As bad as we have been we have still been one of the more respectable programs the last 5 years or so.

I don't know. There is absolutely no rational reason why Georgia should be this bad at basketball. There really isn't.

So we R shame when it comes to SEC basketball.

I have hopes that this will change in my lifetime. But that's all I have at this time - hope.

We certainly haven't done our part the last few years although it did seem like we had some of the old magic from the Wimp era under Gottfried in the early to mid 00s. I just remember Coleman Coliseum being routinely packed and loud as frick during my childhood when some great Kentucky, LSU, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, and even the occasional Auburn or Miss State team came to town. I remember it being similar when we would travel to other SEC arenas. I just miss the way it use to be and hate the fact that basketball has become so bad that most SEC fans are left having to wait for baseball or some other spring sport to hold us over once football season leaves.
