It is the ole without their knowledge thing.

It is an ncaa violation for a player to allow the use of their likeness, including signed stuff, to promote any establishment. As advertising, for profit and the like. Only the ncaa is allowed to do so.

The players cannot do anything to stop him and aren't promoting his business. I could get a bunch of signed stuff at A day or fan day , buy it from other fans, etc. and then resale them in my store or give them away as promotional gifts etc, that doesn't mean the player is actively promoting my businesses.

This is easy to understand, Fans come to fan day or ADay to get items signed, Tom buys signed stuff from fans or pays them to go get them items signed and then resales them at his stores. That is not a violation, the players are not promoting his businesses and they can't stop him from resaling their signed memorabilia.

It's funny watching all you junior NCAA investigators foam at the mouth over this when nothing will happen nor is any rule being broke.
