For me, it was about stability. I didn't want to worry about my paycheck. The salary isn't great, but it's nothing to scoff at either. The great thing about accounting & finance is that you have different fields you can go into within those fields.

If i do accounting id lean towards oil and gas with the salaries I've seen. I also wouldn't mind living somewhere near dallas because it looks like you get a lot of bang for your buck.
I will probably have to make up my mind by the end of this semester as far as going accounting or finance.
I could always major in one and then go back over time and finish the other.
