yea a few semesters back i was talking with my accounting teacher and he was showing me the job offers right now for jobs in houston and they were pretty nice. I feel like accounting is more stable salary and finance has more potential based on skill.

For me, it was about stability. I didn't want to worry about my paycheck. The salary isn't great, but it's nothing to scoff at either. The great thing about accounting & finance is that you have different fields you can go into within those fields.
