Professors of Reddit, have you ever been pressured or forced to pass an athlete or other student by your athletics department or university administration? How did that go?

If you scroll down a little ways you'll also see someone talking about Cam Robinson and another Bama player being in class and doing well.

I thought it was pretty cool.

I taught at the university for 5 years while Shula and Saban were the coaches. I taught athletes from just about every sport we have, and I never received any pressure from athletics. Under Saban, some of the football players had an athletic department employee come by the class to make sure they were attending class.

But according to the rest of the SECr our players are all illiterates who don't even know where the academic buildings are, so that can't be right.
