He needs to do some calf raises if he is gonna look like big brother.

Barton Simmons on John Burt LINK
quote:
I've changed my Crystal Ball on Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln wide receiver John Burt from Texas to Auburn. While Texas has emerged as the perceived favorite for Burt, one source close to his recruitment indicated to me that Auburn and Florida State are more likely destinations based on the distance factor. No immediate plans have been made for a decision from Burt but currently, Texas has a slight lead over Florida State on the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

He is 5'11 or so listed when he was a FR in HS. He has some growing left to do.

Also Stephen Davis Jr. (2016) said he almost committed to Auburn recently and his dad just wants him to take his time. It appears he is pretty much in the bag for us though unless something weird happens.
He did say he hopes to get an Alabama offer but said it more in the "Would be an honor" type of way

Darrell Williams is about an 8/10 on the firm commitment scale and is talking to Alabama a lot. He is "open-minded", per himself.

He grew up a big bama fan. Honestly, the only reason we have him committed is because we showed him love early and often while Bama didn't even talk to him last fall. From someone involved, I remember hearing
He does like Auburn and other than standard pressure, I was told his family supports him either way. Not typical Bama flip since they seem to need to straight up out recruit us as opposed to external pressures

He grew up a fan of the most dominant team of the generation and starting to get serious interest, it is absurd to believe he wouldn't listen.
Like I said earlier though, while they may have had increased interest originally due to being shunned by Bama early, his family are and have been on board. His mom especially likes Auburn and has been treated very well

Not sure he's a take for Bama. They have 2 LB's onboard and room for only 1 more. I'd be really happy with Holland Mcbryde and Williams

2016 4* RB Antonio Williams will visit AU this week.
Although he's from NC he's very interested in AU. He likes our running game and knows our history of fielding good RB's.
Got a CB for Richard McBryde today
4* ATH Demetris Robertson will visit Saturday as well. #1 ATH in 2016 class Tide and UCLA lead, but AU not far behind. He enjoyed his first visit to AU (spring game), and wants to see more.
Don't be surprised if Tony Bridges flips to Ole Miss. He will probably OV there, but AU feels good having a few of his former teammates on the roster. Daquille, Moncrief, Jason Smith
As mentioned earlier John Burt's fam may want him closer to home which would be great for AU because FSU may not have him as high on their board as other WR's.
Darrell Williams is open minded but may not be a take for Bama
Brandon Kennedy will commit in the next two weeks. Unsure if he is a take for AU or Bama.
Torrance Gibson will commit on October 20th. AU not pursuing him hard.

I don't see why OM is better. Its not like we're loaded with CBs and Mincy is gone this year.

I'm outta the loop, but what's the deal with this kid? Seems like we just grew apart, for lack of a better phrase?
