Kiffin will always be a West Coast guy regardless of where he is coaching.

So was Jim McElwain. Not one damn thing wrong with that.

I love the hire. Very high upside; very little downside.

Bama fans will learn to like Kiffin if he is successful.

If Kiffin pans out I doubt anyone is going to care about his 'baggage'. But if it turns out Lane can't really develop these new QB's and playcalling skills won't help...how long? 2 years?

I can't tell if the Bama fans claiming to be excited about Kiffin are serious FWIW

LSU fans were desperate to have a real OC for the first time since Jimbo left

I live in Birmingham and my Bama co workers and friends are stoked. I guess it depends who you ask.

It's not like Lane is our head coach. He can mentor QB's and he's a really good OC. Now a lot of Bama fans hate this hire but when the results are on the field I doubt anyone will dislike this hire. We're talking about Nick Saban's decision here. He's no dummy, he's the best head coach in modern college football.

Cam>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kiffin

Not a single LSU fan had concerns over the hiring of Cam....Bama fans & Kiffin-not so much.

I think youre an alter who happens to be insecure that Bama can hire former SEC coaches as assistants.

Well, they're a little less rare than the sane Auburn fan, or the sober LSU fan.

I dont think that word means what you think it does Harvey! nobody in the world wants to be "sane' like the murderous poisoners called bammer fans.
