It's an elitist crock of shite.

They're pointing fingers at the universities for bettering a kid's life on the premise that universities are for learned scholars only. Give me a fricking break. That may have been true in the 50's when high schools were designed to seed students into categories of future employment. But, now, colleges are already shells of their former selves due to the cash grab that has become the "college experience" every American feels entitled to. Taking in poorly educated athletes and building them up does not realistically hurt the university.

Yeah, this is the rallying cry for a bunch of liberal elitist shitheads who hate capitalism.

So, why don't universities just offer a "football" degree course? Stop pretending that these jokers are getting an education in a particular course of academic study. They are learning FOOTBALL ONLY.

The real elitist crock of shite is Texas, who has an atrocious situation going on, talking about being "proud" that they don't do things like those other places.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss, which is pretty universally accepted as being very inferior to Texas academically, is doing much better with their athletes.

And then, of course, there's the massively hypocritical Big Ten, where neither of their big name programs are willing to share data but they'll be the very first to talk about how the SEC is shameful with our athletes.

No they are not. Its an issue that needs to be addressed. They leave not being able to read.

Then sorry asse people like some here read about their lives being in the dumpster and laugh.. say oh well... had an opportunity. But the fact is billions of dollars are made off of them.

Do they really "build them up?"

What's the literacy level at 4 years versus entrance?
