I'm trying to understand your argument. You say that having a class of three stars and one or two "super elite" guys is a red flag. What wouldn't be a red flag to you? Are you saying that a school can't improve its recruiting classes without buying players? Is your point that only select few colleges are entitled to recruit top-caliber guys, regardless of other circumstances like ties to a particular school or the relationship a player has with a coach?
For the sake of discussion, let's just assume that Hugh Freeze is a personable coach who relates well with recruits and their parents, and he has instant playing time to sell. You don't have to admit to that. I'm just asking you to assume that it's true for the purposes of my next question. Are you saying that simply because he signs a class that has even one or two highly rated players - regardless of any other facts - that is all it takes to suspect that Ole Miss is cheating somehow?
If Freeze was a great recruiter that connected with kids in a general sense. your classes would resemble ours. Would they not? Consistency throughout classes and year to year would be a sign he has improved.
Saban is a great recruiter. Freeze lands a few guys. A great recruiter has the top class in conference consistently not one or two top guys and the same class Ole Miss has had for the past decade.

This tells everyone in this thread what we need to know.
Oh this is a special kind of stupid.

Holy shite, he's only on his second full recruiting cycle, and he must be doing a decent job based on your whining.

You didn't respond to my questions, Libertyabides71. I would appreciate it if you would do that. Out of courtesy, I'll respond to yours. But please show me the same respect that I'm showing you.
Not necessarily. And certainly not instantly.
I respectfully disagree. Consistently signing the number 15 class year after year wouldn't be a sign of improvement at all.
I thought that your point was that Coach Freeze signed an unusually good recruiting class last year.
Now that I've addressed your points, please go back and respond to my questions. Otherwise, it just looks like your dodging them.
I'm curious what you think a school would have to do to improve its recruiting without creating the presumption that it's buying players or cheating in some other way?
