The correct answer is 10. The reality is that money is driving the ship, and with that in mind it is a home run. It is all about the cable money and the SEC network "in market" footprint greatly expanded. If you don't think that was a huge consideration for all parties, you haven't been paying attention. The footprint's population increased by 50% while only adding 2 schools.

That being said... it only works if the programming is compelling and those markets can truly be delivered by having energized fanbases and interest. It seems like both have been a success. So, mo money for all the schools. Homerun.

Especially when compared to what other conferences added. You can say 12 was better or Mizzou isn't Southeast all you want, but at the end of the day, conferences are moving to 14 and the SEC added the best 2 schools of any conference hands down.

you totally missed it.

what would money or tv markets have to do with the first 2 years? these both encompass the addition of both teams regardless of the number of years.

not being an old school sec fan I can't comment, but as a 90's SEC fan I'd say both teams are adequate.
