And Chavis's system is so simplified a brain dead chimp could learn it. And its also why the phrase "Third and Chavis" was invented.

Love our coaches but I don't understand why they don't take a closer look at LSU's defensive scheme against the HUNH...even with a down defense this year, LSU shut down the Gus bus and Johnny Football this year...while they struggled against more traditional offenses this year, they appear to have the HUNH pretty much figured out, at least the last 3 years or so any way...

Chavis plays pretty much straight man, hence why young corners can come in and play in it. There is barely any system to actually learn. But at the same time that is like I said where Third and Chavis comes from. His Defense doesn't start simple and then get more complicated as the guys gain experience it is always simple. They don't do any pattern reading, they don't readjust routes, they don't bait throws. Like I said high school simple.

You're overlooking two things.
Rivalry or not, LSU hasn't had an answer for Hugh Freeze's offense the past two seasons.
Secondly, Auburn was running a different offense in September and didn't hit their stride until November. Auburn is a different team than the one that lost 35-21 to LSU; plus Auburn had some bad breaks in that game. I'll stop there; I'm not going to turn this into an Auburn or LSU discussion.
