Florida had success with Vernon Hargraves there was a reason he had 5 stars by his name.

And Chavis's system is so simplified a brain dead chimp could learn it. And its also why the phrase "Third and Chavis" was invented.

Young corners typically don't look good (elite talents like Hargraves notwithstanding). Do you remember how bad some of our guys looked as Freshman only to be all American's as juniors/seniors? Guys you may have heard of like Kirkpatrick, Milliner, Jackson, even Marquis Johnson. I mean Eddie Jackson probably looked the best of any freshman Corner that has played under Saban.

We play press man for a reason. Its hard for young guys to pick up but boy can it shut down offenses when its firing at all cylinders.

If our scheme is hard for young guys to pick up, and we have to rely on young guys, then why can't we simplify it for them instead of watching them struggle over and over again. I know our corners will get better (they can't get any worse), but why not change things up?

Love our coaches but I don't understand why they don't take a closer look at LSU's defensive scheme against the HUNH...even with a down defense this year, LSU shut down the Gus bus and Johnny Football this year...while they struggled against more traditional offenses this year, they appear to have the HUNH pretty much figured out, at least the last 3 years or so any way...
